Theresa Grzeslo A.M., LCSW

I don’t think you are broken or that I am here to fix you.

I think what we can do is create a beautifully supportive space together where you can explore your inner experience, respond to it with care, and allow the resources within you to step forward. We can share moments of pain and connect in joy

Therapy isn't a one size fits all, your unique needs matter!

Modality Approach

  • ACT - Acceptance and Commitment Therapy

  • Compassion Based

  • EMDR- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing

  • Mindfulness

  • Somatic (Body) Integration

  • Flexible and Creative Resourcing Skills

  • Client Centered/Relational

What do all those means? They mean we are going to take an approach of gentleness and care. We will add in things like sensory skills, pacing, and whatever flexibility we need to create safety for your emotions to be here. We will acknowledge that oftentimes what you are feeling is a natural response to what has happened or what you're living through.  We'll learn about your protective and survival responses. We can talk about how this world and it's systems impact your wellbeing. We will explore how you can access more self expression, play, and joy

It is important to me that in therapy, you are able to bring in all the different parts of yourself, your identity, and your lived experiences

  A little more about me

I identify as mixed race (Ecuadorian and European American), first gen on one side, and queer.

I am a trauma and adult cancer survivor myself.

I am passionate about anti-oppressive practices and liberatory values.

I love getting out in nature, trying new forms of movement,  and connecting in laughter. I celebrate having too many half-started hobbies and continually forming new ones

I bring these pieces as well as others into my work in different ways but you are the expert of your experience no matter how many lens or similarities we share.
